As God’s daughter, one of my biggest convictions is that I will always be at the center of God’s will for my life, and the Law School year was proof of that. From my campus down to the very last moment I dropped my pen, each was a show of fulfilled promises, God’s faithfulness, and leadership over my life.
I had a random thought the day I was moving down from home to Lagos campus, that Law School would be a quiet stay for me. I will soak in every teaching like a sponge and write the exams that I came for. Interestingly, I woke up to have my devotion the first morning, and God began to minister to me through Matthew 5:14-15. I got all the convictions and confirmations I needed to know that my Law School stay was light season.
God’s leadership put in me the willingness to take on the role of a sub-group leader, to go out boldly for a presentation during our first class, and also to answer questions and get the first honorary handshake during our classes that week. That experience the first week made me conscious of the fact that I must continue to commend myself to God and the word of His grace throughout law school.
In the aspect of destiny-relationships, praying friends, support from my family, friends and good company, leading sought me. I saw it in the most accurate ways, from numbers to the unity of faith, purpose, likeness of mind and love. God did exceeding abundantly.
For service, God gave me a word about being in the choir and I was privileged to lead the choir unit in CLASFON.
Externship was another season and though it felt challenging I came through victorious and God carried me most cautiously and helped me in my reading and preparations.
During the final lap, I experienced academic speed and ease like never before. God also gave me the grace to write and say confessions which I shared for 50 days before Bar Finals. Every word became my experience.
During Bar Finals, the grace, provision, peace, help, strength and favour of God were tangible.
It was a beautiful journey & I overcame it! Thank you, Jesus! Hallelujah!
